Ritter Technology is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Zelienople, PA office. We are a leading distributor of fluid power products and services that meet the needs of our customers' industrial application requirements for fluid power connectors, custom hydraulic and pneumatic hose and hose assemblies, lubrication, and fluid power generating systems.We are headquartered in Western Pennsylvania and employ over 200 employees within multiple locations in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining a proactive recruiting program
  • Working with regional leadership on planning and executing recruiting efforts in their locations by building applicant sources via community services, professional organizations, colleges, technical schools, employment agencies, recruiters, and internet sites
  • Monitoring job offers and compensation practices
  • Onboarding/offboarding activities for newly hired and departing employees
  • Sharing responsibilities for a biweekly, multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now; includes entering payroll data such as new hires/terminations, bonus and commission figures, benefit deductions, garnishments, and all other employee changes; resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll related questions
  • Calculate variable pay (commission, bonus, etc.) for Company compensation programs on a monthly basis; work with regional leadership and sales managers on sales compensation issues
  • Maintaining the integrity of all data within the ADP payroll system by regularly updating, auditing, and making necessary changes
  • Oversee the Company’s wellness program by planning monthly initiatives, act as a liaison with the insurance company and employees as needed and provide support for program
  • Oversight and management of claims for worker’s compensation, disability, family leave, etc.
  • Coordinating the creation and rollout of the company newsletter on a quarterly basis
  • Performing customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Assisting with annual processes involving performance evaluations and benefit open enrollment, as well as preparation of annual reporting requirements for the EEO-1, OSHA 300, etc.
  • Assisting HR Manager with projects

Skills and experience for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Proven recruiting experience
  • Experience using ADP with a solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present data and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain a positive approach and be a strong advocate of company-driven initiatives and values
  • Excellent skills in judgment and ability to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential information
  • Attention to detail that demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness resulting in a quality work product
  • Strong work ethic that includes dedication and consistently being at work and on time
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Possibility of 5-10% travel
